K2 Solutions Group, Inc. Founder and President receives his second itSMF USA “Industry Knowledge Contribution” nomination
Providence, RI – September 16, 2009 – K2 Solutions Group, Inc. (http://www.k2sg.com) proudly announces that its founder and president, Carlos Casanova, has received a second ‘Industry Knowledge Contribution’ award nomination from the IT Service Management Forum USA (itSMF USA) (http://www.itsmfusa.org). This nomination is for the editorial staff of “The Forum” the itSMF USA membership newsletter. Mr. Casanova has been on the editorial staff since the start of 2009 and contributes articles to the newsletter on a regular basis in addition to reviewing and soliciting articles for the periodical. His first nomination was for the book, “The CMDB Imperative” which he co-authored with Glenn O’Donnell a Senior Analyst from Forrester Research. The award will be presented at its annual conference, “Fusion 09” (http://www.itsmfusion.com). This year’s conference will be held on September 22, 2009 in Dallas, TX.
Founded by Carlos Casanova in 2008 after working nearly two decades with multi-national companies to deliver cost effective technology solutions, K2 Solutions Group, Inc. was started based on the belief that with the right partnerships and infusing simplicity into technology solutions, all challenges no matter how large could be reached. They simply needed to be tackled as smaller and less complex components of the larger initiative. His experience was that far too often, large challenges such as the Configuration Management Database as defined in version 2 of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL V2) and the Configuration Management System as defined in ITIL V3, were failing regularly. The sentiment that CMDB and CMS initiatives could not be delivered successfully because they were too large and complex, pushed Mr. Casanova and Mr. O’Donnell to join forces and co-author “The CMDB Imperative” as way to educate and enable more organizations to succeed in their efforts. In addition, Mr. Casanova then joined the editorial staff of the itSMF newsletter in order to support itSMFs efforts to help educate service management professionals through its periodical “The Forum”.
